Kevin Brice Andrews ’11
The Texas A&M Foundation honored Kevin Brice Andrews '11 with a Bugle Call at the Texas A&M vs. Alabama football game on October 17.
Kevin Brice Andrews ’11 is a Texas A&M graduate student who proves how Aggies make a huge impact not only in the stands but also on campus.
Kevin’s father and grandfather are both Aggies so, even though he did his undergraduate work at Texas A&M Commerce, he decided to become a season ticket holder at Kyle Field as he started a career in real estate.
When Kevin made the decision to go to graduate school, there was only one place he applied. His decision and his passion for Aggieland made an immediate impact. As a doctoral student in the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications, Kevin has twice served as director of Grad Camp, the graduate and professional student version of Fish Camp, Vice President of the Graduate Student Council and was president of his department’s graduate student society.
Even as a student, he found a way to contribute to the Ag Leadership Excellence Fund, which is managed by the Texas A&M Foundation, and he is the recipient of the Frank Sheppard Jr. ’47 Graduate Fellowship and the Southerland Aggie Leader Scholarship.
Kevin teaches an undergraduate class, advises three student organizations and has served on the 12th Man Student Foundation. This Aggie to-the-core has funded one Aggie Ring Scholarship for a student veteran and is raising the funds for a second. He is a recipient of the Buck Weirus Spirit Award and is a Fish Camp namesake.
His passion is in helping his fellow students and a few non-students catch the Aggie Spirit. After a campus tour with Kevin, a member of the Alabama Board of Regents remarked that he is now an Aggie fan 364 days out of the year, and a member of the Georgia Alumni Association was prompted to fund an Aggie Ring Scholarship after spending time with Kevin.
Kevin makes Aggie sports a priority and stands proudly with the 12th Man at as many sporting events as he can attend. He’s a year away from completing his dissertation but, as you can tell, he has already mastered the Aggie Spirit.
