Sterling C. Evans Medal Award

Acknowledging Texas A&M’s potential to change lives and produce leaders of character, a few former students and philanthropic leaders devote incredible resources and energy to ensuring its continued success.

To recognize individuals who make outstanding contributions to the reputation and strength of Texas A&M University and the Aggie community, the Texas A&M Foundation’s Board of Trustees established the Sterling C. Evans Medal in 1998.

Named after the renowned former university regent and philanthropist Sterling C. Evans ’21, the Evans Medal seeks to promote, encourage and recognize phenomenal service.

The award is given on a highly selective basis, presented annually at the discretion of the Texas A&M Foundation Board of Trustees. The recognition definitively cements its recipients’ legacies as quintessential pieces of the university’s history, as their leadership often proves integral to the institution’s success.

Candidates must exhibit a long and distinguished record of service and leadership, as well as enthusiasm for galvanizing philanthropy amongst their peers. In addition to lauded civic participation and professional accomplishments, recipients must also demonstrate a sincere sense of loyalty to Texas A&M and, above all, a history of integrity and commitment to excellence befitting of a proud and principled Aggie.

Partner in Philanthropy Award

Established by the Texas A&M Foundation’s Board of Trustees in 2016, the Partner in Philanthropy Award celebrates Aggie faculty and staff who demonstrate dedicated and lasting participation, commitment and creative leadership to philanthropy and Texas A&M.

This accolade acknowledges an individual faculty member’s effort to build long-term productive relationships between the university, former students and other private partners in philanthropy. Recipients demonstrate a deep understanding of the value of private support and have typically developed relationships with donors and contributed their own gifts to Texas A&M.
