Reveille X assumed her role as the First Lady of Aggieland in May 2021. We asked her 12 questions about her role as one of the nation’s most well-known mascots, from biggest lessons learned in her first few months on the job to favorite pastimes. Read on to learn more about Miss Rev!

What is your favorite Texas A&M University tradition?

I am still new to Aggieland, so I haven’t experienced all the traditions here yet. But so far, my favorite is march-in before the football games. Everyone cheers for me and my cadets!

What were some of the biggest lessons you learned from Reveille IX?

My best friend Reveille IX taught me so much, like how to wear my blanket proudly and snag a spot on my Lucas’ bed. She was such a good Reveille, and she trained me to be the best I can be by proudly representing the spirit of Texas A&M wherever I go! She also showed me the best places to nap and who gives the best pets on the Quad.

In your first few months as Reveille X, what has been your favorite memory?

SO MANY. I have loved every time I get to meet my Aggies in person, which happens a lot! But I think one of my favorite memories so far has been celebrating my second birthday with my Aggies. I had the best day: a special birthday party with my cadets from Company E-2, a birthday cake that I got to share with my best friend Reveille IX, lots of presents and a giant yard sign wishing me happy birthday! It was so much fun!

Serving as the First Lady of Aggieland is a busy role. What do you like to do to relax and rejuvenate?

I love to people watch! Watching my Aggies as they walk to class is so fun. Sometimes I like to let them know I’m watching them, so I bark really loud. I also like to go on walks and sometimes chase those pesky squirrels that live on campus…oh, and I LOVE to take naps!

What is your favorite hangout spot on campus?

I love hanging out on the Quad, especially Quadbucks. They make the best puppuccinos!

If you could travel to any location, where would you go?

I can’t imagine a better place in the world than Aggieland, so I am happy staying here with all of my Aggies.

We hear that you are a fan of the music group Surfaces and Aggie graduate Colin Padalecki ’20. What is your favorite song from their newest album?

I LOVE SURFACES! Aren’t Aggies so talented?! There are so many good songs on their new album, but I really like “Sheesh” the best!

What is your favorite snack?

The dog treats that my Lucas keeps in his pockets ’cause they’re just for me.

What’s your go-to toy?

Anything I can chew! Chewing is the BEST!

What does it feel like to run out on Kyle Field on gameday?

IT’S AMAZING!!! First of all, everyone pets me while we are waiting in the tunnel and then they start playing one of my favorite songs “POWER,” which I think everyone else really loves, too, because everyone and I mean EVERYONE starts singing it! And there’s lights and fireworks and more cheering, and I RUN AS FAST AS I CAN TO LEAD MY AGGIES AND MR. COACH JIMBO ONTO THE FIELD SO WE CAN START WINNING!!!

What’s something we might not know about your handler?

My Lucas is not the first person in his family to be a mascot corporal—his older brother, Jacob, was mascot corporal for my best friend Reveille IX from 2017-2018!

Which SEC mascot are you most looking forward to meeting this year?

All of them! I hear everyone in the SEC is so nice, and I can’t wait to meet them all.

Reveille is a time-honored tradition and adored mascot among all Aggies. To support the Corps of Cadets with ongoing expenses and maintenance, consider making a gift to the Reveille endowment.
